lalux was established in 1920 under the name La Luxembourgeoise as the country's first insurance company. Today, more than 500 employees work at our headquarter in Leudelange.

How can insurance contracts help reduce your taxes?

Luxembourg's tax policy allows you to deduct various insurance premiums and thus reduce your taxable income.

Premiums like those of a private pension plan, an additional health care, a personal liability or a mortgage insurance are eligible. Together with you, we will check which of your existing premiums are already deductible and where there is further potential for savings.

The annual savings can quickly cumulate to a few thousand euros, depending on the individual income.

The most advantageous way is a private pension plan with a maximum deductible amount of €3,200 per year and taxpayer or even €6,400 for a couple.

If you are a taxpayer but don't have to file a tax return, you can still benefit from all the advantages and declare your special expenses (e.g. various insurance premiums) to the tax administration every year.

I'll move to Luxembourg during the next couple of weeks an my landlord wants me subscribe a home insurance contract. How long would it take to obtain a quote from you?

Just give us a call and we can send you an offer immediately. Each formula of our product meets the minimum requirements of a rental contract and the coverage could start at the day of the handover of the keys.
I had a car insurance contract with a foreign insurance company. May I continue to benefit from my claim free years?

Yes, of course! Please ask your previous insurance company to send you a no claim bonus certificate. We will then apply the corresponding luxembourgish no claim bonus.
I prefer to pay my premiums on a monthly basis. Would this incur any additional costs?

Nowadays, most customers opt for a monthly payment method. Of course, we also offer such an option and this free of charge. The monthly premiums will simply be debited automatically from your bank account.
I already possess several insurance contracts in Luxembourg. Is it possible to switch to lalux at any time?

A switch is of course possible, but you must always respect the contractually stipulated cancellation periods. We would analyze your current situation and discuss with you possible adjustments in person. Later on, we would also assist you with the paperwork and guarantee a seamless transition.
